Family leadership is a shared responsibility.
Hello, my name is Allan Mulholland.
I’m the author of “The POWER of PERSONA PROFILING” and creator of PERSONA-COACH™, a unique and proprietary method of Life and Business Coaching that is fundamentally different from any other conventional coaching model.
PERSONA-COACH says . . .
In this series of daily mini-videos, I will feature one specific quote taken from the Power of Persona Profiling or the PERSONA-COACH™ Certification Program.
Each quote is 100% original, authentic and unique and contains a valuable message for any Life/Business Coach!
Here’s today’s quote:
PERSONA-COACH says . . . “Leadership is a shared responsibility, to be shared responsibly.”
Of all the segments of our society, our family is the most important one.
Bar none!
If you have a family, treat it with the utmost reverence and respect.
If you are in the right relationship or married to the right spouse, you are truly blessed.
If you have children, biological or adopted, they are a gift from God.
Your parents, whether living or deceased, are an eternal testament to your character.
Love, respect and honor your family!
Without family, nothing is important.
Nothing matters!
If you don’t have a family, create one!
If you can’t create a family, adopt one.
Traditional or non-traditional, you choose!
Just don’t choose to live without a family!
The family structure is the perfect example of the new convention of Leadership under the principles of Persona Profiling.
Under the old conventions, the father was the patriarch in the family.
He was the head of the household.
Traditionally ranked below him was the “Operations Manager” and servant to everyone . . .
. . . the wife and mother.
On occasion, the wife and mother was called upon to step into the husband’s and father’s shoes to become the matriarch of the family.
Responsibility for the welfare of the family always came from the top down, while blame for any misfortunes travelled the opposite way.
Whether by design or coincidence, the mother or matriarch of the family often became the inevitable buffer in this system of reverse osmosis . . .
. . . relieving the burdens of the husband while at the same time managing the misfortunes of the family.
No one will ever truly understand the immeasurable significance of the contributions and sacrifices mothers make as Leaders of their family.
Mothers are the unsung heroes of the traditional family.
But the inborn Leadership qualities in each and every member of the family will allow the family to function as a cohesive entity . . .
. . . rather that the traditional ‘atom’ model with the parent (usually the father) as its nucleus and with everyone else whizzing around as neutrons in their individual orbits.
Leadership is a shared responsibility and must be shared responsibly.
A family is no different from any other team.
Everyone has a role to play and a function to perform.
From the youngest child to the oldest grandparent.
That role may not be equal in intensity or perceived importance, but it is a role that is unique to the contributor and therefore the Role of a Leader.
Each member of the family can make a contribution to the Greater Good or to the family as a whole!
A small child’s contribution may not seem significant, but as long as it is a contribution made on its own accord and not the result of coercion or conditioning, it is a measure of family Leadership.
The contribution of a grandparent may be in the form of advice from the “wisdom of the aged”.
And who can place a value on that type of family Leadership!
Connect with all members of your family as often as you can.
Let them illuminate your path and not just be standing on the side of the road.
You must always reserve a place in your heart for each and every member of your family.
Exclude no one!
Decide today to make the welfare of your family the most important achievement on your list.
Your new Persona Profile will support it!
